LOT 9

Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian

‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’

Place Statement @ Time of Conception

Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.

Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture

Finding sanctuary in the spirit soul avoiding the fear of self-sabotage…

Obtaining clear guidance outside the realm of reality can leave the spirit soul in trepidation at times, as the elements of life’s conundrums appear. To gain the strength; to freeze the fear energy into love energy of ice sculptures so the symphony of life can start again giving the spirit soul new strength.

Light the path; catch the hope and find the calm to the sanctuary of love.

Visual Information @ Time of Creation

The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Mothar Mountain’s natural environment. Mothar Mountain is situated in the Woondum National Park, Queensland, connecting to the Noosa trails. On 28th December 2014 I climbed the mountain and paddled in the rock pools continually photographing my response to nature’s language. In November 2015 post production commenced and three digital montages became Lot 9 in the PLACE identity Series, absorbing the personal emotion to the intricate climb and the serenity of the rock pools.
