LOT 42

Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian

‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’

Place Statement @ Time of Conception

Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.

Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture

Filling in time …

Always good to revisit a location and soak in the present atmosphere whilst waiting for the check in time to click over.

Never a dull moment as the wheels glide along the dirt road to a destination that still is breathless at point of entry.

Visual Information @ Time of Creation

The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Sandy Point to Farnborough Beach natural and urban environment. Sandy Point to Farnborough Beach are situated in the Byfield National Park in the Shire of Livingstone, Queensland, Australia. On Friday morning 1st November 2019 I was continually photographing my response to the beauty that surrounded me. In February 2023 post production commenced and four digital photomontages became Lot 42 in the PLACE identity Series, enjoying the flow as time passes.
