PLACE identity Series
LOT 41
Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian
‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’
Place Statement @ Time of Conception
Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.
Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture
Me Then …
From a distance I watched on as a dutiful child knowing to entertain myself whilst in the wait.
Nothing Forever …
Decay and renewal appears again through the internal storm.
Unplanned Conversation …
The passing on another and the individual response that is given at the time of invitation or not. Complexity continually surrounds the organisation.
Visual Information @ Time of Creation
The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Shorncliffe natural and urban environment. Shorncliffe being on the bay of Bramble Bay Moreton Bay region and is a coastal north-eastern suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. On Sunday 14th October 2019 I was continually photographing my response to beauty that surrounded me. In June 2022 post production commenced and three digital montages became Lot 41 in the PLACE identity Series, watching from afar as I wait for the ceremony to end.
Found Quote @ Time of Completion
