PLACE identity Series
LOT 4

Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian

‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’

Place Statement @ Time of Conception

Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.

Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture

Magical pathway, a chance to discover…

Nature maps its own development, providing pathways to be explored, passing through ethereal doorways, enabling growth under feet to express further investigation, helping to unravel the mystical vision.

Visual Information @ Time of Creation

The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting the base of Mount Archer’s natural environment. Mount Archer is situated in Rockhampton, Central Queensland, Australia. On a Saturday afternoon 7th June 2014 I was continually photographing my response to the path I walk paved out by foot prints. In January 2015 post production commenced and one digital montage became Lot 4 in the PLACE identity Series, mirroring a tranquil afternoon as I explored nature’s sculptures.

Found Quote @ Time of Completion

In the beginning there was desire, which was the first seed of mind; sages, having meditated in their hearts, have discovered by their wisdom the connection of the existent with the non-existent. – The Hymn of Creation, The Rig Veda.
