PLACE identity Series
LOT 30

Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian

‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’

Place Statement @ Time of Conception

Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.

Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture

Total awe and fascination; in love with this location,  in love…

Sometimes in life we have a moment that leaves a lasting impression. The feeling is indescribable as no words are usually needed to express the core emotion that lies deep beyond the soul.

Visual Information @ Time of Creation

The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Seal Rocks natural environment. Seal Rocks Beach is situated in Woorim, the eastern end of Bribie Island in the Moreton Bay Region, New South Wales, Australia. On 12th February 2018 I had the opportunity to spend the day reflecting at the ocean, continually photographing my response to nature’s language. In April 2019 post production commenced and one digital montage became Lot 30 in the PLACE identity Series, as I look forward to the next encounter.

Found Quote @ Time of Completion
