PLACE identity Series
LOT 25
Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian
‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’
Place Statement @ Time of Conception
Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.
Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture
Be me and all that I am…
Presenting my intuitive light writing of the visual narrative I enter and share. The exhilaration of nature’s natural weathered sculptures that surround me can leave me very humble as there is more to discover. The remaining mountains to climb will be with new steps allowing time to be what is and the flow within to ooze with creation of love.
Visual Information @ Time of Creation
The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Girraween National Park natural environment. Girraween National Park is an area of the Granite Belt situated in the Darling Downs Region, Queensland, Australia. On 25th November 2017 I had the opportunity to take an amazing adventure through the national park, continually photographing my response to nature’s language. In April 2018 post production commenced and one digital montage became Lot 25 in the PLACE identity Series, in awe of Mother Earth’s sculptures.
