PLACE identity Series
LOT 23
Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian
‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’
Place Statement @ Time of Conception
Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.
Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture
Synergy developments appear…
The bites are no more, “Yeah”. The dance was so frantic, with time being extra long! The Dark and Cold seem to be relentless.
Then enlightenment was found; relief! The path has smoothed out and the internal cessation is no more.
Visual Information @ Time of Creation
The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Great Keppel Island, exploring the natural and manmade environment in the late afternoon on 5th September 2017 and mid morning 6th September 2017 as I explored the coast line on both days. Great Keppel Island is situated along the Capricorn Coast of Central Queensland, Australia. In September 2017 I had the opportunity to stay a couple of days and reconnect as I continually photographed my response to nature and manmade language. In January 2018 post production commenced and two digital montages became Lot 23 in the PLACE identity Series, releasing an old energy.
