PLACE identity Series
LOT 17

Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian

‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’

Place Statement @ Time of Conception

Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.

Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture

Spontaneity lead here…

A chance to head back towards old self, with new energy; with a bounce in the step exploring mother earths magical wonders. Oscillating between child and adult thoughts feeling exhilarated with new found feelings of growth.

Visual Information @ Time of Creation

The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Bill Gould’s Lookout situated in Toowoomba, exploring the natural and manmade environment in the early morning as the sun rose over Table Top Mountain. Toowoomba is situated in the Darling Down Region, Queensland Australia. On 24th October 2015 I had the opportunity to watch the sunrise and explore the lookout continually photographing my response to nature’s language. In April 2017 post production commenced and one digital montage became Lot 17 in the PLACE identity Series, sparking gorgeous feelings of light.
