LOT 15

Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian

‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’

Place Statement @ Time of Conception

Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.

Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture

Remembrance; of a time past…

After I made sense and found eternal peace with Dad passing…

Visual Information @ Time of Creation

The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Manly an eastern beachside suburb of the city of Brisbane, exploring the natural and manmade environment in the early evening as the full moon was rising. Manly is situated in the Morton Bay region, Queensland Australia. On 30th August 2015 I had the opportunity to visit and roam the beach, community and trees that adorn the land continually photographing my response to nature and manmade language. In June 2016 post production commenced and one digital montage became Lot 15 in the PLACE identity Series, reflecting to a period that felt so complex is now a history book.

Found Quote @ Time of Completion
