‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’

Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.

Static Frequency of self and other self…

Waking into a morning of self darkness and finding strength to continue was a feat unto its own. Loving one with all ones heart was a test, a time of truth, knowing you and you alone. Being true to the heart allowed, to find peace in the day and the night, even when the elements of beliefs are crumbling; as love has no bounds, loving from the heart has no end; only eternal discovery of the depth of individual self to freedom.

The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Dicky Beach morning light of a tide; ebb and flowing. Dicky Beach is a suburb situated in the Sunshine Coast, South East Queensland, Australia. On Good Friday 3^rd of April 2015 I arrived to greet the morning as the sun rose in the east continually photographing my response to nature’s language. In April 2016 post production commenced and one digital montage became Lot 11 in the PLACE identity Series, releasing my shadow self.
