PLACE identity Series
LOT 1
Land Acknowledgement @ Time of Custodian
‘In the spirit of reconciliation the PLACE identity Series acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.’
Place Statement @ Time of Conception
Is a contemporary visual approach to digitally photographing and montaging the landscape to express the psychological space within a designated place of identity. I continually aim to acknowledge and understand the land we are upon and my personal response of the stimuli that surrounds me with each step taken.
Personal Narrative @ Time of Capture
Investigation into a moment of time…
To take or to be taken; often distorted to reflect the other thought of how one ascertains one’s emotions at that point. At what point is the point that harmony strikes a chord to flow a rhythmic path to the next day.
Visual Information @ Time of Creation
The contemporary artwork is a layered narrative reflecting Mooloolaba to Maroochydore’s environment. Mooloolaba and Maroochydore are suburbs located side by side and situated in the Sunshine Coast, South East Queensland, Australia. On 8th February 2014 on a Saturday morning around 8.30am I completed a return walk from Mooloolaba to Maroochydore continually photographing my response to the designated walk way I was on. In October 2014 post production commenced and four digital montages became Lot 1 in the PLACE identity Series, echoing a glorious morning as I observed the light within the urbanscape and the picturesque oceanscape.
Found Quote @ Time of Completion
